Playing well together
The Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation is joining forces with the Tony Hawk Foundation and KaBOOM! to help communities do something amazing:
Give children and youth safe, exciting places to do what they do best—Play.
The Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation invests in groundbreaking work throughout Southeast Michigan and Western New York with an eye toward one simple goal: changing lives for the better. That's why we're investing up to $10 million to fund the Built to Play initiative, and have partnered with the Tony Hawk Foundation and KaBOOM! to make a huge difference for our young people. KaBOOM! is dedicated to giving all kids the childhood they deserve through great, safe places to play. We have built more than 3,000 playgrounds throughout the country and are implementing innovative opportunities to play along the way, such as swings at bus stops or play zones at laundromats. So naturally, we had to be a part of Built to Play.
With a focus on supporting and empowering youth, the Tony Hawk Foundation has helped build over 500 skateparks across all 50 states. As a Built to Play partner, we hope to impact children and teens in a big way.
